Dr. Mehta is an expert in image guided diagnostic and theapeutie procedures. During last 15 years, over 10,000 such procedures are to his credit. He is one of the pioneers in doing these procedures in the country. Most of the image guided procedures are done under local anaesthesia, except in paediatric patients, general anaesthesia may be required. These procedures are either done under ultrasound / Doppler or CT scan guidance. Most of these procedures are done on OPD patients with almost no complications.

Common Procedures done are :-

» Bone Biopsy and Spine Biopsy.

» Fine needle aspiration of a soft tissue mass for diagnosis or Biopsy of mass for histopathology. Mass may be superficial or deep seated in the body.

» Organ Biopsy – Liver, Kidney

» Superficial or deep seated collections / abscess drainage.

» Perecutaneous drainage of obstructed system like Biliary system or urinary system

» Cyst aspiration and hydatid cyst aspiration with alcohol injection.

» Tumor ablation with alcohol in cases like hepatoma, colorectal metastasis.
